under和below的區(qū)別有哪些
Under和Below都是表示在.....的下面.但under有垂直在**的正下方的意思. 2under還有表示在物體正下方,并且緊貼物體的意思. 3如果有表示等級(jí)關(guān)系時(shí),則不同. 直接關(guān)系用under,并非此關(guān)系的用below,如;Both tom and jack are officers in this army but jack is under tom湯姆和杰克都是這支部隊(duì)的軍官,但是杰克沒(méi)有湯姆職位高(是上下級(jí)的關(guān)系) Below"在...的下面",僅表示一事物處于另一事物下方的位置,特別是側(cè)下方.
under below區(qū)別詳解
1. 兩者都可表示“低于”，under 主要表示垂直在下的正下方，而 below 則不一定表示正下方(即可以是正下方或非正下方)。如：
Look in the cupboard below [under] the sink. 到洗碗池下面的柜子里找一找。
The climbers stopped 300 meters below the top of the mountain. 登山隊(duì)員們?cè)陔x山頂 300 米處停了下來(lái)。
換句話(huà)說(shuō)，表示正下方，兩者都可用；不表示正下方，則通常用below。
2. 兩者均可表示數(shù)量方面的“少于”，但在現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)中，以用 under 為多見(jiàn)。如：
He can’t be much below [under] sixty. 他的年齡不可能比 60 歲小很多。
There were under forty people at the meeting. 參加會(huì)議的人不足 40 人。
